We enthusiastically encourage you to try making some time once a day to enjoy this ritual. You can choose it as a nice way of waking up or during the evening after a long day of work.
Facial massages are ideal to relieve stress and achieve a moment of relaxation. It can help to lift and firm the skin, reducing the appearance of puffiness and wrinkles. They increase circulation to your facial tissue, resulting in brighter and healthier-looking skin.
Firstly, you need to get both your hands and your face clean. You can use regular soap or antibacterial, and your daily facial cleaner or just warm water. If you want to knock it out of the park, prepare a steam session for your face. This will allow your pores to absorb the product and the experience much more.
You can try these massages with your face moisturizer or oil (almond, jojoba, there are various options).
Be Gentle, Specially With Your Eyes
The skin around the eye is very different from the skin on your forehead or cheeks. Be aware of being gentle by applying less pressure and by moving slower on this massage. Also, you can try using the ring finger or the pinky one.
Start by positioning your finger on the arch of your brows. Softly move it around the outside corners of the eye and then move under it through the inside corner. Move along to the sides of your nose, up and again to the brow lines. Repeat several times for a minute or two.
This exercise helps combat puffy eyes!
Maybe we are not aware of it, but this area can contain so much tension! Let’s release some.
Use a broad circular motion to massage both sides of your forehead at the same time. Start near your temples and move gradually in toward the middle of your forehead, then back out to the sides. Continue for one minute.
Continue by placing the palm of your hand in front of your face horizontally. Place your thumb between your brows and gently move circularly. Start nice and easy with almost no pressure and then apply a little more if desired. This area is very sensitive so start smoothly.
The Sides Of Your Face
Using the same wide circular movement, massage along the sides of your jaw, past the corners of your mouth, next to your nostrils, an over your cheekbones. Push your skin up, then out.
Be conscious not only about how you are massaging each area but also about how your muscles are. Make an effort to relax them, let your mouth drop a little open and release any contraction you may be doing without being aware of.
Locate your fingertips under your ears on the sides of your neck. Massage this area on a circular mode for a minute. Sweep toward your throat and up along the jaw line.
It is believed that toxins drain from the face to the lymph area. This movement helps you release toxins and prevent them from building up in your face.
