Collagen Fruit Smoothie

It’s summertime, our tastebuds seek the refreshing, and luckily fruits are abundant. Time for a smoothie!

Smoothies are so versatile and great to have at any moment of the day. Start your morning with a pure health boost, an afternoon fruity snack, or a healthy-alternative evening desert.

But I am sure you already know about smoothies, my new secret ingredient is what truly makes my ones AWESOME.

Powdered Collagen.

Collagen is the protein that helps build and strengthen the cartilage around our joints, along with revitalizing hair follicles and plumping skin to reduce wrinkles. We naturally produce collagen but less as we age, hence the aging process!

So to include collagen into your daily diet I propose you add a scoop of collagen powder to your smoothie!

Here’s one I made the other day:
- 1 Banana
- 10 Cherries
- 5 large Strawberries
- 1 scoop Collagen Powder
- Skimmed Milk or Coconut Milk (vegan option)

Chop the banana, remove the stones from the cherries, and quarter the strawberries. Depending on my mood I will add more or less milk, for consistency. If it is especially hot, drop a few ice cubes into your blender too to have it really chilled!

It is delicious! And so healthy, I know I am getting such a boost that I feel much more confident throughout the day (I prefer to drink my smoothies in the morning!)

As I mentioned, smoothies are versatile. Try Pineapple with fresh Orange Juice, and some oats to thicken it up a bit.
