Pumpkin Spice Turmeric Latte Recipe

Our pumpkin spice turmeric latte is packed with seasonal flavors and is the perfect shade of orange for Halloween! It’s easy to make, warming and contains turmeric - a root renowned for its plentiful health benefits!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 3 tbsp decaf coffee
  • ⅓ cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar
  • 2 tsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric root
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp allspice

Instructions

  1. Pour your unsweetened almond milk into a milk pan, stir in 3tbsp decaf coffee and simmer on a medium heat.
  2. Place your pumpkin puree, agave nectar, melted coconut oil and all of your spices into a blender. Blend until smooth. If you don’t have a stand-alone blender, you can put all of these ingredients into a bowl and use a hand blender instead.
  3. Slowly pour the mixed ingredients from the blender into your almond milk coffee, blending as you go to make sure that everything is properly mixed.
  4. Continue blending until the mixture foams. This will give your pumpkin spice turmeric latte a frothy texture.
  5. Carefully pour from the milk pan into your cups. If you like, you can sprinkle a little cinnamon or turmeric on top for extra flavor!

Turmeric Health Benefits

Turmeric comes hand in hand with a whole host of health benefits. It can:

  • Help to maintain healthy inflammation levels
  • Help to support joint function
  • Reduce occasional discomfort in the joints

Getting the Most from Your Turmeric

While the turmeric in recipes like our Pumpkin Spice Turmeric Latte can bring you some health benefits, most people don’t eat enough turmeric daily to regularly gain all of the health benefits we’ve outlined above. Standard turmeric only usually contains between 2-6% curcumin. If you want to get the most from turmeric, it’s generally best to take a turmeric supplement containing turmeric extract. We want you to get the most from your supplements, so we use standardized, lab-tested extracts containing at least 95% curcuminoids in our supplements. We also add turmeric root extract to make sure that you benefit from the rest of the turmeric plant too! If you’re looking for maximum absorption, we’d recommend our Turmeric Curcumin with Bioperine. BioPerine is a quality piperine, a black pepper extract that increases your body’s absorption of curcuminoids and helps your liver to break them down slowly.
